Betty Mae Wallis, 89, of Oklahoma City, passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2014. She was born Jan. 8, 1925, in Amber, to Luther A. and Ollie Mae (South) Pearcy. Betty was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church for 34 years. She was an Eastern Star member for 40 years. Her hobbies were sewing, ceramics, crafts and Avon. Betty is survived by her husband of 62 years, Garrold Deloyd Wallis, of Oklahoma City; one son, Don Wallis and wife Teda, of Chickasha; two granddaughters, Tana Kulhanek and Kristina Wallis, both of Chickasha; four grandsons, Travis Wallis, of Chickasha, Steven Wallis and wife Ashley, of Abilene, Texas, Jeffery Wallis and Justin Wallis, both of Ft. Stockton, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Aline Peary, of Blanchard and Bessie Wallis, of Waxahachie, Texas; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Mike Wallis and his wife Vicki; three sisters, Mabel Young, Gladys Koenig and Mildred Bowring; and two brothers, Robert Maurice Pearcy and Billy Pearcy. Funeral Services were Oct. 2 at Southern Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Interment followed at Blanchard Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home in Moore.
