Charles's Story

Charles Clyde Collum, 45, of Oklahoma City, passed away May 23, 2015. He was born Aug. 3, 1969, in Oklahoma City, to Charley A. and Sandra S. (Britton) Collum. Charles enjoyed listening to Rock and Roll music. His favorite band was KISS, AC/DC and Metallica. He enjoyed watching “Jeopardy” with his mother and watching movies. Charles loved animals, especially dogs, cats and reptiles. He also enjoyed Christmas time and driving around looking at Christmas lights. Charles also enjoyed the 4th of July holiday. He was employed at Norman Regional HealthPlex, as a dietary health technician. Charles was like a father to his nieces and nephews. He was like Santa, he was jolly, fun-loving and had a zest for life. When it came to shoes, he set the fashion trend. His first love was spending time with his family. Charles is survived by his parents, Charley and Sandra Collum, of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Brian Collum and wife, Michelle, of Moore and Danny Collum and wife, Mindy, of Oklahoma City; his best friend, David Frank, of Norman; and his grandmother, Phyllis Collum, of Moore. Funeral services for Charles were Friday, May 29, in the chapel of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home in Moore. Interment followed at Moore Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the John M.
