Dorothy Dee Fulkerson-Hendrix, 68, of Moore, passed away Nov. 29, 2014. She was born in Oklahoma City to Clarence Glenn and Mildred Estelle Fulkerson. A 1964 graduate of Capitol Hill High School, Dottie obtained her teaching degree from The University of Oklahoma. She began her career in special education at Moore High School, where she remained for 33 yrs. She had a passion for teaching which she believed was her calling. Dottie influenced the lives of her students by teaching them to believe in themselves and their ability to achieve. She lead by example and maintained a positive outlook even when she was having her own battles. Her family is what she lived for. She is survived by two sons, Kevin Factor of Oklahoma City and James Hendrix of Moore; two grandsons, Kevin and Kyle Factor; brother, Ron Fulkerson of Oklahoma City; sister, Beverly Croskery and husband Bob of Ohio; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Angel Hendrix; her parents; her sister, Joyce Miller; and nephew, Daniel Frances. Services were Friday, Dec. 5, at Southgate Baptist Church in Moore. Interment followed at Moore Cemetery.
