Franklin's Story

Franklin Wayne Ayres, 78, of Moore, passed away after a long, brave battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was born May 17, 1935, to Sidney and Delores Ayres in Pacific, Mo. Franklin served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict. He also served in the Air Force Reserves, the National Guard and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was the owner and manager of Clean It Company for 25 years in Oklahoma City. Franklin was a member of Southern Hills Seventh-Day Adventist Church for many years. Franklin enjoyed flying with his son, Franklin Jr. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Ayres; daughters, Christina Ayres and Karen Becker and husband Jeff; daughter-in -law, Shelly Ayres; grandson, Brock Franklin Ayres; three sisters, Alena Bartold, Gladys Koenig and Helen Koch; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members and friends. The family wishes to thank Sable Saner, step granddaughter, for her two years of tender care giving and companionship to Frank and special thanks to all the Excel Hospice nurses. Services were Monday at Southern Hill Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Oklahoma City. Interment followed in Rose Hill Burial Park in Oklahoma City. Services were under the direction of the John M.
