Gene L. Haworth, 86, of Moore, passed away in an automobile accident Monday evening, Jan. 19, 2015. Gene was born Sept. 29, 1928, in Payne County to Bert and Hattie Haworth. Gene was a longtime Moore resident and a home builder. Gene is survived by his sons Marvin Haworth and wife Shelia, Mel Haworth and wife LaDonna and Jerry Haworth and wife Martha, all of Moore, and daughter-in-law, Debbie Haworth Funk of Tri City; wife, Linda of Shawnee; daughters Kelli Dean and Shannon Johnson and son Bobby Johnson; a host of loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Darlynn Haworth. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Hattie Haworth; first wife, Wanda Louise Haworth; son, Mike Haworth; grandson, Robbie Haworth; three sisters; and two brothers. Funeral services were Jan. 23 at Emmaus Baptist Church, 16001 S. Western Ave. in Oklahoma City. Services were under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel in Moore.
