Geraldine “Gerri” Sweeney, 68, of Oklahoma City, died April 28. She was born Nov. 24, 1942 to Sanford Ingram and Nona Delozier in Locust Grove. Gerri was raised in Houston and moved to Oklahoma City in 1960. In 1969 she met the love of her life. Gerri went to cosmetology school in Ada, and started her own beauty shop called Cut and Curl. She moved to Oklahoma City in 1980, where she became a homemaker. Gerri had a kind heart and was always willing to help. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. Her first love was her family. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Williams of McLoud, Vicki Scott and husband Donald of Ada, Sarah Sweeney of Moore; son, Bill Sweeney of Moore; grandchildren, Brytanie Shihault and husband Daniel, Donny Scott, Christopher Sweeney and Cheyenne Sweeney. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bill “Red” Sweeney. Services were May 2 at John M. Ireland Funeral Home Chapel, Moore. Interment was at Memorial Park Cemetery, Ada. Services were under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore.
