Glada's Story

Glada H. Griffin, of Moore, passed away Aug. 18, 2015, at the age of 93. She was born Sept. 16, 1921, in Caradan, Texas, to O.D. and Virgie Virginia (Denton) Conway. Glada enjoyed sewing, gardening and canning. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Sue Pearson and Karen A. McCurley; four grandchildren Rick Pearson, Jeff Pearson, Stephanie C. Mashburn and Jerry D. McCurley; five great-grandchildren Ricky Pearson Jr., Christy Pearson, Brian Pearson, Deven McCurley and Taisa, McCurley; and one brother, Wendly Conway. Glada was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Griffin; her son, Glenn D. Griffin; and granddaughter, Christy S. McCurley-Pickett. Graveside services were Saturday, August 22, at Oakman Cemetery in Ada. Services were under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel in Moore. The American, Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015
