Ina's Story

Ina Elizabeth “Betty” Chapman went to be with the Lord July 20, 2015. She was the daughter of Roscoe and Mary Cook. Ina was born March 24, 1929, in Blue Mound, Ill. On Feb. 14, 1948, Elizabeth married the love of her life, Virgil Chapman, and together they shared 66 years of marriage and raising a family. She provided a warm and loving home for her family as a housewife and loving mother. She was a longtime member in the T.O.P.s club in Inverness, Fla., serving as an officer for many years. She also was an active member in the Moose Club, serving alongside her husband. In 1966, the family moved from Mt. Zion, Illi., to Moore. She was a very devoted wife and mother. Ina will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Ina is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Gerald, Larry and Roscoe; daughter, Deborah Chapman; and sons David and Darrell Chapman. She leaves behind a son, Tim Chapman and wife, Brenda; daughter, Cindy Mackey and husband, Bob; daughters-in-law Sue and Nicki Chapman; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends. Services to celebrate her life were held Saturday, July 25, at the Lynlee Mae Chapel, located at 507 E. Main St. in Moore. Services were under the direction of the John M.
