James E. “Jim” Mayeaux, 78, passed away April 25, 2015. Jim was born Jan. 18, 1937 to Audrey and E.A. Mayeaux in Alexandria, La. After serving his country in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force, he settled in Oklahoma, where he met his wife, Bobbie. Jim and Bobbie were married 48 years. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Leon Jefferson; sister, Audrey Garrison; and two brothers, Richard and Robert. He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Mayeaux; his son, Larry Jefferson; his daughters Jeanette, Denise and Lisa (Don); five granddaughters, Lindsay, Jennifer, Rachel, Katie and Megan (Jeremy); and great-granddaughter, Alyssa. Jim was looking forward to the birth of twin great-grandsons, Mason and Jackson in May. The family would especially like to thank their dear friend, Gene Wynd for his love and help during Jim’s illness. Viewing was Tuesday, April 28 at John M. Ireland Funeral Home. The Vigil Service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 800 NW 5th St. in Moore. The funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment will be at Smith Cemetery in Moore. Services are under the direction of the John M.
