Jessica's Story

Jessica Lee (Floyd) Witcher, 36, passed away after a tragic auto accident Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015. Jessica was born on Oct. 29, 1978, to Don and Mary (Henry) Floyd in Norman. Jessica was a 1997 graduate of Grace Christian Academy but had also attended Moore High School. She worked for Logic Technologies as an administrative assistant for a long period of time, Lock Supply in the accounts payable department, as a waitress at Stevie’s Cafe and currently at Mama Lou’s, where she happily served the Coffee Club. She had an infectious laugh and smile. She had the ability to be a person’s best friend and still be sassy with them. She was never afraid to tell you what she thought. She was a friend to so many; always willing to listen, lend a shoulder and share a laugh or Kleenex. Jessica was her mother’s best friend and loved her children, Carter and Ricki, beyond measure. She is survived by her husband, Rick Witcher; one son, Carter Allen Floyd Stratton; one daughter, Ricki Lee Longacre; two stepdaughters, Miranda and Haylee Witcher; mother, Mary Floyd McCarty and husband, Don; one brother, Donnie Floyd and wife, Kellie; nieces and nephews, Brandon Floyd, Cody Floyd and wife, Traci, Demi Rose and husband, Chance, Brandie, Blake and Travis Floyd; five great-nieces and nephews; her grandparents of the heart, George and Belvia Moore; and several other aunts, uncles, cousins; and other loving family members and friends. Jessica is preceded in death by her daddy, Don Floyd, whom she met in heaven on his birthday and her brother, Patrick Floyd. Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, at Southgate Baptist Church in Moore. Services were under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home in Moore.
