Lester Jones, 95, of Purcell, formerly of Moore and Lawton died Thursday, Nov. 26. He was born Sept. 17, 1914, in Leedy to Joe Paris and Laurie Lorena Jones. He married Ella Agnes Cox Dec. 25, 1935. She preceded him in death Sept. 9, 1989. He later married Mollie Bridwell, who also preceded him in death Sept. 15, 2001. He is survived by a son, Kenneth Jones and his wife, Janice, of Purcell; a daughter Shirley Cozart and her husband, Richard, of Carrier Mills, Ill.; a stepdaughter, Barbara Loper of Oklahoma City; a sister Edna Evans of Sparta, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Joree Walters and her husband Ron of Oklahoma City, Keith Jones of Crescent, Scott Cozart and his wife Cindy of Stockton, N.J., Steve Cozart and his wife Angie of Washington, Ind., Connie Bennett and her husband Ed of Little Rock, Ark.; eight great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by three brothers, James Lloyd, Raymond Russell and Paris Leroy Jones; three sisters, Doris Stevens Witherspoon, Nora Irene Bucy and Betty Jane Fitch Pickens Vogt.
