Martha Ellen Stoker, 89, of Moore, passed away Dec. 14, 2014. She was born Nov. 14, 1925. Martha enjoyed dancing, playing bingo, crocheting, quilting and working crossword puzzles. In addition, she enjoyed baking and cooking. Her husband, J.D., nicknamed her “Mug.” On Nov. 14, Martha celebrated her 89th birthday at LaLuna’s. She loved chicken enchiladas and a cold coke. Martha enjoyed watching British comedies. She was a homemaker most of her adult life and worked briefly at Moore Medical Center. She was a feisty, out-going person, with a kind heart and a helping hand. Martha’s first priority was seeing that her family was taken care of. Her first love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Martha is survived by one daughter, Patricia DuFour & her husband, Steven, of Oklahoma City; one son, Larry Stoker & wife, Susan, of Checotah; two adopted grandchildren, Felecia Stoker and Kayla Stoker; 16 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elija and Elizabeth Tyner; her husband, J.D. Stoker; three children, Karen Kilburn, Pamela Owens and Jimmy Stoker; and sister Vina Burke. Funeral services for Martha will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014 in the Chapel of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home, 120 South Broadway in Moore. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Norman. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home.
