Mitzi's Story

She was born on April 22, 1941 in Centralia, Illinois
Mitzi grew up and graduated from Blanchard High School in 1960.
She married Bill Brown June 24, 1960 in Oklahoma City. They were married for 57 years.
They moved to Moore in 1965 and bought a new home in the Regency Park addition.
Mitzi and Bill had 3 children, Rick Brown and Wife Cindy of Moore Oklahoma, Rhonda Mckinney and husband Granger of Oklahoma City and Christy McElhaney and husband Dustin of Loveland Colorado.
Bill and Mitzi have 7 grandkids, Rachel Brown, Tyler Mckinney, Nick Mickinney, Zachary Mckinney, Benjamin Mckinney of Moore, Oklahoma and Justin McElhaney, Jeremy McElhaney of Loveland, Colorado.
Mitzi was preceded in death by her Mother Ruby Fountain, Father Dick Fountain, and Sister Peggy Fountain
She was a longtime member of Suburban Baptist Church in Moore and loved to sing with her friends.
Mitzi was a dedicated wife and mother. She was a longtime Campfire leader and served as both a local and state campfire representative. She was a great "Baseball Mom" for more than 12yrs. She was always involved as a homeroom mother at Kelly Elementary and was the president of the Moore PTA association and was a state lifetime PTA member.
Mitzi ran a very successful home business, making personalized birthday and wedding cakes at her home for many years.
Mitzi worked at the original "TG&Y" in Moore and later, was the assistant manager of the Family Dollar store in the City of Moore Shopping Center.
We love you so much and you will be missed by all!
Services were held on Monday, August 21, 2017. Services were under the direction of John Ireland Funeral Home.
