Phyllis Elaine (Weir) Hensley died Sunday, April 13. With her family at her side, she was comforted by their love and her strong faith in our loving God. Phyllis was born Jan. 22, 1941 at home on a farm south of Moore to Leon and Katherine Dyer. Soon after graduating from Moore High School, she married and started her family. She had four children, whom family said she loved and adored. After conquering motherhood, she called on her entrepreneurial spirit to build a thriving business. The Tanning Beach tanning salon was in business from 1983 to 1998. Phyllis always had a smile and always remembered your name, and family said she was the most optimistic, positive, giving woman you could ever have the pleasure of knowing. Phyllis was preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by her husband Lee and her four children: son Kurt Weir, M.D. and wife Mitzi; daughter Kalyn Drew and husband Kyle; daughter Krissy Woodruff and husband Chris, all of Oklahoma City; and daughter Kim Smith and husband Bill of Corinth, Texas; three stepchildren James Lupton, Barbara Cordell and Lisa Hensley, Ph. D; a sister Peggy Bowles; nieces Kristi Bradford and Keri Jones and six grandchildren.
