Roy Lee Robinett, 68 of Little Axe, passed away Sunday Sept. 23, 2012, at the Norman Regional Healthplex. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson-Little Funeral Home chapel in Purcell. Roy was born May 2, 1944, in Moore, the oldest of eight children born to Delbert Wesley Robinett and Ruby Leona Inez (Idell) Robinett. He was raised in the Moore and Noble areas. He then drove a school bus for Noble Public Schools. In 1974, he began working at the University of Oklahoma in the motor pool. He retired after more than 29 years of dedicated service. In his spare time, Roy enjoyed spending time in his garden and raising farm animals. He loved the outdoors and never missed an opportunity to go fishing. He cherished his family and especially liked to spoil his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
