Samuel's Story

Samuel Lee Tiffany was born Aug. 11, 1952, in Sallisaw, to John and Emma Lou Tiffany, and grew up in Norman, graduating from Norman High School. He owned Sam Tiffany Construction for 20 years prior to returning to school, where he earned degrees in MIS and telecommunications technology. Sam was employed at Powercosts Incorporated. He enjoyed sailing, was a past commodore of the Thunderbird Sailing Club and was also an active member of Emmaus Baptist Church. Jesus led Sam home on Nov. 29, 2014. Preceding him in death were his father, John Tiffany and brother, Michael Tiffany. He is survived by his mother, Emma Lou Tiffany; wife, Sheryl Tiffany; son and daughter-in-law, Jake and Heather Tiffany, and grandchildren, Beckett and Bell; daughter and son-in-law, Abbie and Ross Gatewood, and granddaughter Ella; daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Sean Hunteman, and granddaughter Addie; his brother, Andrew Tiffany and family; sister, Mary Sharp and family; and sister, Carol Selchert and family. Services were Thursday, Dec. 4, at Emmaus Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations were requested to  be made to the Lake Thunderbird Educational Foundation, Life Share Oklahoma, the Regional Food Bank or Samaritan’s Purse.
