Thelma's Story

Thelma Fern Pruegert, 88, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014, in Pauls Valley. She was born Sept. 22, 1925, to William and Ruth Kline Pruegert, in Moore. She survived the May 3, 1999, tornado but lost everything. She loved working puzzles, listening to Elvis Presley, gardening, landscaping and moving rocks. She is survived by her two daughters, Louise Bonner and Patricia Dunning; two sons, Leonard Miller and wife Pam and Dennis Campbell and wife Cynthia; daughter-in-law, Jackie Linville; brothers Bill and Max Pruegert; and a host of loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Paul Linville; and a granddaughter, Michelle Bonner. Services were July 25, 2014, at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home chapel, in Moore. Interment followed at the Moore Cemetery. Services were under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asked for donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association — Oklahoma Chapter, Department 2845, Tulsa, OK 74182, or another charity of choice.
